Health Care Services

The Deep River and District Hospital is an outstanding facility that consistently rates among the best in the Ontario in client satisfaction. The hospital has six departments, including 24 Hour Emergency Services, Active Medical and Specialized Cardiac Care Services, Nutrition Counselling, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory Service and Physiotherapy. The hospital is accredited with the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation and is member of the Champlain Healthcare Network. It is also linked with the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario and Ottawa Heart Institute.

The Community is also served by five family Physicians, a Family Health Team, two Dental Offices, and a Chiropractor. The North Renfrew Long Term Care Centre and North Renfrew Family Services are also important components in the community’s Health Care mix.
