Because of the general interest in the facility touring trails have been added. Next to the parking lot is a small but cozy chalet overlooking the best view in the valley. In front of the chalet is a sliding hill with a 40 m drop in elevation. The hill is used for tobogganing, snowboarding and skiing. Both the touring trails and racing trails start from the chalet. The racing trail is 7.5 km long with a good variety of flats, hills and high speed corners that will challenge any skier. The track is 4 - 5 m wide and is prepared for both skating and classic skiing. The track is cut with safety in mind. On some of the more difficult down hills, the track is eliminated to allow the skier to choose to either snow plow or sidestep around the turn. The touring trail is about 10 km in length and makes use of trails that go by some Josie Lane residences. It also uses the outer perimeter of the racing trails, thus avoiding many of the hills (up and down). email
