Police services

The Deep River Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police work together. The Deep River Police Service has eight officers. It provides 24-hour service. The Ontario Provincial Police serve the Town of Laurentian Hills and Townships of Head Clara and Maria.

Deep River Area police forces often work together. They complement each other well. Crime rates in the area are among the lowest in Ontario.

Fire services

The Deep River Fire Department has eight full-time professional fire fighters. Fire fighters are available 24-hours a day, seven days a week. The Department also offers auto extrication, fire suppression and prevention (enforcement and inspections), and a smoke alarm program.

Laurentian Hills is proud to have one of the best volunteer fire departments in the province. This department's dedicated volunteers train hard to provide fire protection and educate residents in matters of public safety.
