The Family Enrichment Network (FEN) is a well used family support service.

FEN supports families through services that include information, referrals, networking and material assistance.

FEN operates with principles that emphasize prevention, relationship building, respect for diversity and the building of family capacity. FEN affirms and builds on family strengths. Recognizing families' interdependence, FEN assists families to further community development.

Examples of OEYS family resource services are:

  • networking and relationship building
  • parent and caregiver support
  • child care and child development
  • play and recreation
  • community development
  • food and nutrition support
  • community outreach
  • promotion of health and safety
  • counselling and mediation
  • referrals to other services
  • drop-in programs
  • toy lending
  • peer contact and mutual support
  • employment assistance
  • literacy and education upgrading

North Renfrew Family Services (NRFS) is a non-profit agency providing confidential counselling, advocacy and support to individuals and families of all ages in north Renfrew since 1968. NRFS is a community based and supported service, a member of Family Service Ontario and the Deep River District United Way.
